Farida Bemba Nabourema (b. 19 April 1990, Lomé) is a prominent human rights activist, writer, and pan-Africanist. She founded the “Faure Must Go” movement at age 20 and has since authored over 300 essays denouncing corruption and dictatorship. She is the executive director of the Togolese Civil League, a diaspora-based NGO supporting democracy and civic education. Recognised as “Advocate of the Year (Female)” by the Africa Youth Awards (2017), she has stood her ground despite harassment and exile.
David Dosseh is the national coordinator of the civil society coalition “Togo Citizens Stand Up”, which mobilizes Togolese youth and civil society against constitutional manipulation by the Gnassingbé regime. Quoted by AFP and Africanews, he stated: “The wall of fear is starting to crack. The youth is waking up.” He has been central to organizing peaceful resistance and raising awareness of civic freedoms in Togo.
Born 26 December 1958 in Bassar, Kafui Adjamagbo-Johnson is a lawyer, feminist, and the first woman to run for the presidency in Togo. She holds law degrees from the University of Lomé and Paris, and served as a minister and founding member of the Convention démocratique des peuples africains (CDPA). She continues to champion women’s rights, democracy, and legal reform in Togo.
